2 Post Lift Install for Motor Hub MOTs

For this installation, Dezso was tasked with fitting two REDATS L-240 3-phase 2 post lifts at Motor Hub MOTs, in Nottingham. The goal was simple: deliver a seamless, compliant installation ready for immediate use.

However, as with many real-world garage environments, the execution required far more than a straightforward setup.

Navigating On-Site Challenges

The site featured multiple concrete expansion joints and overhead roof trusses, both of which significantly impacted lift positioning.

Rather than compromise on safety or performance, Dezso approached the vehicle lift install with careful planning and detailed measurements. Each lift post had to be precisely positioned to:

• Avoid all expansion joints
• Ensure full clearance from overhead trusses
• Maintain a minimum distance of 600mm between lifts
• Meet all compliance and safety specifications

Through methodical problem-solving and technical expertise, Dezso successfully delivered an installation that ticked every box.

Collaboration & Communication

A key part of this project’s success came from effective communication on-site. Dezso liaised directly with the customer’s electrician, advising on the most efficient and practical route for the permanent fixed power supply.

This collaborative approach ensured that not only were the lifts installed correctly, but the supporting infrastructure was set up for long-term reliability and ease of use.

2 Post Lifts Tested and Ready for Use

Once installed, both 2 post lifts were fully tested using a vehicle to confirm performance and safety. The customer was extremely satisfied with the outcome, so much so that they specifically requested Concept Garage Equipment to return for future installations.
