Class 4 MOT Bay Install in London
Clover & Serks, sometimes referred to as Clover Cars, is a London-based workshop that offers services such as vehicle hire and transport within the community. They have been in the transport industry for many years, and have worked with Transport for London and other businesses to successfully build a very busy company.
They decided that they wanted to expand their business further and venture into the MOT and repairs industry. After purchasing a large workshop, they needed assistance so they contacted Concept GE. We were happy to help guide them on how to fit out the workshop. We completed an initial site survey and discussed the best possible layout and MOT equipment they would require to run a successful garage. After considerable investment by Clover & Serks, they decided that they would like a Class 4 MOT bay, including a wheel alignment bay, tyre bay and also a repair workshop. They put all their trust in Concept GE to ensure a smooth transaction from start to finish.
Garage Equipment Installed
Concept GE installed a range of garage equipment for Clover & Serks’ Class 4 MOT Bay. This included:
- Class 4 MOT recessed 4 post lift. This lift has high-speed lifting and state-of-the-art safety detectors.
- Jacking Beam. Jacking beams help further raise vehicles on 4 post lifts and scissor lifts.
- Headlamp Beam Tester. Headlight beam testers are used to test the intensity, quality and angle of the light produced by vehicle headlights.
- Vteq Roller Brake Tester. This piece of equipment is an essential part of an MOT test, so it needs to accurately test vehicles’ brakes.
- Emissions machine. Emissions testers are machines responsible for ensuring that vehicles meet emissions standards, making them a key part of MOT testing.
- Bradbury tyre changer. Tyre changers are used to help remove the manual and labour-intensive process of replacing a vehicle’s tyres.
- Bradbury wheel balancer. Wheel balancers are used to balance the wheels of a vehicle so that it stays in place and does not move around on the ground whilst driving.
- Eurotek UT40E single phase 2 post lift. This lift has a 4 tonne lifting capacity and lifting time of just 45 seconds.
- Dunlop DL240B+/3 2 post lift. 2 post lifts are used to raise vehicles off the ground and provide garage technicians access all around the vehicle.
- Wheel alignment scissor lift. Scissor lifts are a great option for garages that have limited space.
- Wheel aligner. Wheel aligners are used to adjust the angles of wheels to the car manufacturer’s specifications. This helps to reduce tyre wear and to ensure that the vehicle travels in a straight line.
- Air conditioning machines. These machines are used to test and refill the refrigerant gas in vehicles.
