Preparing for a 2 Post Lift Installation

Successful lift installation starts with proper site preparation. For this project, the installation required a suitable concrete base with a minimum depth of six inches, subject to the necessary checks. A drill-hole concrete test was recommended at the approximate positions of both lift posts.

The site also required appropriate single-phase electrical provisions, including a 20-amp rated circuit breaker, suitable three-core SY 2.5 cable and a three-pole 20-amp wall isolator.

All electrical provisions need to be in place before installation. Following installation, an engineer could carry out testing using a temporary electrical connection, with a qualified electrician required to complete the final connection for insurance purposes.
